A US missile reportedly struck an Iranian oil tanker near Kharg Island on Tuesday. The incident occurred about 4 miles from Iran's main oil export hub, with no reported casualties and the vessel's crew being evacuated.

The strike was confirmed by Iran's semiofficial Tasnim news agency, citing local sources. There was no immediate confirmation from US authorities.

Maj. Gen. Ali Abdollahi, commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, warned that any attack on Iranian oil tankers would trigger retaliation against US forces in the region.
