US Strikes Three Iranian Oil Tankers in Retaliation for Missile Attacks
The United States has taken military action against Iran's oil tanker fleet in response to Iranian ballistic missile attacks on two U.S. Navy ships.
According to a statement from the U.S. Central Command, three Iranian tankers carrying crude oil were struck on Saturday, but no American service members were injured.
Admiral Brad Cooper warned that if Iran continues to fire on U.S. ships, it will face even greater economic damage, including destruction of its limited and unprotected oil fleet.
