US Wheat Exports See Strong Demand Despite Global Competition
Brian Liedl, vice president of overseas operations at U.S. Wheat Associates (USW), has been focusing on customer retention and growth opportunities since joining the organization in July 2025.
Liedl's first year coincided with strong export demand supported by a large, high-quality U.S. wheat crop and competitive prices.
He attributes the success to the growers who produced a great crop with big bushels and good quality, leading to attractive prices and market opportunities.
Now, Liedl is shifting the conversation from price to value, aiming to convert buyers into loyal customers by providing technical support and assistance.
