US Wheat Prices Rise as Chicago SRW Contracts Gain $0.10 to $0.12.25 cents
The US wheat market finished higher on Monday, with Chicago SRW contracts rising by $0.10 to $0.12.25 cents and KC HRW futures increasing by $0.09.75 to $0.11.75 cents.
According to the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), 86% of the US winter wheat crop has been harvested, matching the normal pace. The spring wheat crop is ahead of schedule, with 98% headed and 5% harvested.
The weekly Export Inspections report showed a significant drop in wheat shipments, down 19.68% from the previous week to 335,313 metric tons (12.32 million bushels). South Korea was the largest recipient, taking in 90,198 metric tons.
