USDA Boosts Corn and Soybean Production Estimates

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has released its latest estimates for corn and soybean production, showing an increase in planted acres for both crops.

Corn exports for the 2026-27 crop are projected at 3.275 billion bushels, up 75 million bushels from July, while total usage comes in at 16.33 billion bushels.

The farmgate price for corn is projected at $4.50 a bushel, up 10 cents from last month, and ending stocks are projected to be 1.653 billion bushels, down from 1.79 billion last month.

Globally, USDA beginning stocks for the 2026-27 corn crop are forecast at 298.83 million metric tons, up slightly from July, while production was raised to 1,298.88 million metric tons.
