USDA Cuts Corn Harvest Forecast Amid Hot Summer Conditions
Corn futures on the Chicago Board of Trade edged higher after the U.S. Department of Agriculture trimmed its U.S. corn harvest forecast due to hot summer conditions.
The USDA's revised estimate raised concerns about potential crop damage, which contributed to the increase in corn prices.
Firmer crude oil prices also provided additional support for corn futures, with CBOT December corn last quoted at $5.31 per bushel.
