USDA Feedstuff Market Data Bundle Reveals Key Trends and Price Fluctuations
The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service released its weekly feedstuff market data bundle on August 21, covering reports for the week ending August 14 and the period August 17-21. The bundle includes four key reports: National Weekly Ag Energy Round-Up, National Weekly Animal By-Product Feedstuff Report, National Weekly Grain and Oilseed Processor Feedstuff Report, and National Weekly Mill-Feeds and Miscellaneous Feedstuff Report.
Key takeaways from these reports include ethanol prices ranging across Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota, Eastern Cornbelt, and Wisconsin for the week ending August 14. Biodiesel B100 (SME) prices were listed for Iowa/Minnesota and IL/IN/OH, while crude soybean oil prices were reported in cents per pound for Illinois, Indiana/Ohio, Iowa, and Minnesota.
Choice white grease in Minnesota averaged 69.17 cents per pound, up from 60.33 a year ago, according to the animal by-product report for August 21. Blood meal porcine was quoted at $1,100-$1,350 per ton, with an average of $1,225, up $200 from the previous year.
The grain and oilseed processor report showed cottonseed hulls in the San Joaquin Valley were steady at $475 per ton, while corn distillers dried grain prices ranged from $140 to $282 per ton across multiple states.
