USDA Grain Bid Reports Reveal Mixed Cash Prices Across Midwest and Gulf
The latest USDA grain bid reports from September 14, 2026, reveal mixed cash prices across the Midwest and Gulf regions. The reports compiled by the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service show that conventional terminal elevators in Kansas quoted ordinary protein at a basis of 35 cents under the December contract, unchanged with a price of $7.6350 per bushel. This is down from $8.8375 per bushel a year ago. In contrast, export elevators at the Gulf Coast ports in Louisiana quoted US No. 2 yellow corn at a basis of 60 to 66 cents over the December contract, unchanged with prices ranging from $5.9200 to $5.9800 per bushel.
The Indiana report for September 11 showed mills and processors along the Ohio River quoting ordinary protein at bases of 35 cents under the July contract, 55 cents under the December contract, and 20 cents under the July contract. Barge loading elevators along the Ohio River quoted ordinary protein at 60 cents under the September contract and 25 cents under the July contract.
The reports also list futures settlements for various grains, including CBOT corn, soybeans, and wheat. The CBOT corn prices were $510.25 cents for September 2026 and $530.25 cents for December 2026, while the soybean prices were $1280.25 cents for September 2026 and $1296.50 cents for November 2026.
