USDA Grain Bids Report Shows Price Declines Across Midwest and Export-Gateway Locations
The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service released its daily state grain bids report for August 12, 2026. The report covered cash bids, basis levels, and futures settlements across multiple Midwest and export-gateway locations.
In Kansas, ordinary protein wheat bids at West Terminal Elevators ranged from -75.00 to -60.00 cents per bushel basis, with prices between $6.2425 and $6.3925 per bushel. This was down 14.25 cents from the previous session, compared to a year-ago average of $4.2875.
The USDA also reported that Louisiana and Texas Gulf export bids for August 12 indicated US #2 yellow corn at Gulf Coast ports with basis levels from 97.00 to 99.00 cents over, unchanged. Prices ranged between $5.4275 and $5.4475, up 9 cents compared to a year-ago average of $4.5450.
Meanwhile, futures settlements for August 11 showed CBOT corn at 436.75 cents per bushel for September 2026, soybeans at 1147.50 for August 2026, and wheat at 630.25 for September 2026.
