USDA Grain Bids Report Shows Price Gains Across Multiple Regions
The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service released its daily state grain bids report for August 28, 2026. The report covers multiple regions and includes data from Kansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Texas Gulf export markets, Portland, Indiana, and Ohio.
In Kansas, terminal elevator bids for ordinary protein wheat were up $0.1150 to $7.7550 per bushel, with a basis of -28.00 cents under the futures. The average year-ago price was $4.5675.
The report also showed that country elevator bids in the Northwest ranged from -35.00 to -5.00 cents basis for corn, while prices were unchanged in the Southwest, with a basis of -20.00 to 20.00 cents.
In Illinois, terminal and mill bids for ordinary protein wheat in Chicago were up $0.1225 to $7.2775 to $7.3775 per bushel, with a basis of -15.00 to -5.00 cents under the futures.
