USDA Grain Bids Show Mixed Trends Across Midwest and Gulf Markets

The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service released its daily state grain bids bundle on July 28, 2026. The report covers cash bids, basis levels, and terminal market data from multiple Midwestern and export-gateway reports.

Kansas and Illinois Grain Bids showed ordinary protein wheat in the West region with a basis range of -75.00 cents to -60.00 cents per bushel, unchanged from the previous session. The corresponding cash price ranged from $6.5400 to $6.6900 per bushel, down 16.25 cents.

The year-ago average for that region was $4.9600 per bushel. Central Illinois country elevator average prices were $4.36 per bushel for corn, down 15 cents, and $12.01 per bushel for soybeans, down 7 cents.
