USDA Portland Grain Bids Show No Changes for Some Crops
The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service released its Portland Daily Grain Bids report for August 18, 2026. According to the report, US #1 Club White Wheat with 10.5% protein was bid at $6.8125 per bushel, unchanged from the previous session.
Hard Red Winter Wheat bids varied by protein content, with ordinary protein ranging from $7.4525 to $7.6025 per bushel, down 8.5 cents. Meanwhile, 11% protein bids were $7.8025 to $7.8525, also down 8.5 cents.
Soft White Wheat with 10.5% protein was bid at $6.5071 per bushel for current delivery, unchanged. NS/DNS Wheat, 13% protein bids increased by 3.75 cents to a range of $6.9575 to $7.1575 per bushel.
The report also noted that the Portland Merchant's Exchange recorded 13 grain vessels in Columbia River ports the previous day, with five docked. All bids are for delivered rail/barge freight, and basis levels remained steady across most categories.
