USDA Projects 2026 Corn and Soybean Production Figures

The latest USDA World Supply and Demand Estimates Report has revealed projections for U.S. corn and soybean production in 2026.

According to the report, U.S. corn production is estimated at 16.013 billion bushels, based on harvested corn acreage of 88.6 million acres and an average yield of 180.7 bushels per acre.

The projected corn ending stocks for 2026-27 are now at just over 1.653 billion bushels, a reduction of 137 million bushels from the July report.

For soybeans, production is estimated at 4.519 billion bushels, based on 85.8 million harvested acres and an average yield of 52.7 bushels per acre.

The USDA projects that the market year average corn price for the 2026-27 marketing year will be $4.50 per bushel, a 10-cent increase from the July estimate.
