USDA Publishes Grain Bids for August 19-20, 2026

The USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service published its daily state grain bids for August 19-20, 2026, covering major markets in Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Louisiana, Texas, and Portland. The reports provide cash bids, basis levels, and futures settlements for corn, soybeans, wheat, and other commodities.

The CBOT corn settlement price for September 2026 was $4.73 per bushel, while December 2026 corn settled at $4.98. Soybean prices also saw significant movement, with September 2026 closing at $12.22.25 and November 2026 settling at $12.37.25.

In Kansas, terminal elevators reported ordinary protein wheat bids at a basis of -28 cents per bushel, unchanged from the previous session. The average year-ago price was significantly lower at $4.71.75.
