USDA Raises Global Wheat Production Forecast by 3.13 Million Tonnes
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has increased its forecast for global wheat production in the 2026/27 season to 822.43 million tonnes, a 3.13 million tonne increase from its August estimate.
This revised estimate comes as the agency also forecasts lower exports at 211.77 million tonnes, down from 212.71 million tonnes previously estimated.
In China, wheat production is expected to remain stable at 141 million tonnes, with imports and ending stocks also unchanged at 6 million tonnes and 120.2 million tonnes respectively.
