USDA Releases September Crop Production and WASDE Reports

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) released its September Crop Production and World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) reports on Friday, September 11.

The reports provide estimates for corn, soybean, and wheat production in the United States and worldwide. According to the USDA, U.S. corn production is expected to be 15,800 million bushels in the 2026-27 crop year, with an average yield of 178.5 bushels per acre.

The reports also show that U.S. soybean production is projected to be 4,535 million bushels, with an average yield of 52.8 bushels per acre. For the 2025-26 crop year, the USDA estimates that U.S. corn ending stocks will be 1,922 million bushels and soybeans will be 325 million bushels.

The reports also provide global production estimates for corn, soybeans, and wheat. According to the USDA, worldwide corn ending stocks are projected to be 272.1 million metric tons in the 2026-27 crop year, with soybean stocks expected to reach 124.0 million metric tons.
