The July USDA report had a positive impact on soybean and corn futures, according to recent data.

USDA's World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimate (WASDE) showed an increase in corn feed and residual estimate by 150 million bushels for the 2025/26 crop year, which was partly offset by a reduction in ethanol usage of 25 million bushels.

This led to a net change that reduced 2025/26 corn ending stocks by 125 million to 2.02 billion bushels, according to Scott Stiles, extension economics program associate for the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture.
