USDA Report Looms as Grain Markets Show Modest Gains
U.S. grain and oilseed markets remain relatively stable ahead of the upcoming USDA report on August supply and demand estimates.
The Chicago Board of Trade saw modest gains in soybeans, with a projected average yield for 2026-27 at 52.9 bushels per acre, slightly below the July estimate and actual 2025-26 yield.
Cooler temperatures and heavy rains are expected to benefit pod-filling and pod-setting in the U.S. Midwest this week, but hot dry weather threatens yields.
