USDA Report Looms Over Weakening Chicago Grain Markets
Chicago grain markets weakened on Tuesday as traders adjusted their positions ahead of the US Department of Agriculture's (USDA) supply-and-demand report, which is set to be released on Wednesday.
The most-active wheat contract on the Chicago Board of Trade settled at $6.30-1/4 per bushel, down 10-1/4 cents from the previous day.
CBOT soybeans and corn also fell, with soybeans ending 10-1/4 cents lower to $11.68-3/4 per bushel, and corn ending 1-1/4 cents lower to $4.60-1/2 per bushel.
Analysts surveyed by Reuters expect the USDA to lower its estimate of the US 2026 corn yield to 182.4 bushels per acre, from 183.0 previously.
