USDA Report to Reset Corn and Soybean Price Expectations
Corn and soybean futures declined on Tuesday as traders adjusted their positions ahead of the USDA's August supply-and-demand report, due out on Wednesday.
The recent rains have alleviated some concerns about US crop output, but analysts surveyed by Reuters expect the agency to trim its 2026 US corn yield estimate to 182.4 bushels an acre from 183.0.
This small change can still impact total production when scaled to the entire crop. Analysts also see lower soybean 'ending stocks' after the USDA cut its weekly soybean condition rating while leaving corn steady.
