USDA Reports Mixed Trends in Latest Grain Market Data
The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service released its daily state grain bids report for September 9, 2026. The report covers cash bids, basis levels, and futures settlements across key Midwest and export regions.
In Kansas, cash bids for ordinary protein wheat in the West region ranged from -80 to -60 cents under the futures, unchanged from the previous session. Prices were between $7.2475 and $7.5900 per bushel, up 18 to 16.75 cents compared to last year.
In Illinois, country elevator average prices for corn were $4.99 per bushel (35 cents under) and soybeans at $12.91 (25 cents under). Terminal bids in Chicago for ordinary protein wheat ranged from -30 to -6 cents under, with prices between $7.1700 and $7.4100, up 13 to 12 cents compared to last year.
