The USDA released a series of reports in late June and early July that will impact corn and soybean prices until harvest season. The first report, the Crop Acreage Report, estimated 95.34 million planted corn acres in the U.S. in 2026, a slight increase from March's Planting Intentions Report.

The combined corn and soybean acreage would be at a record level of 180.7 million acres, surpassing the previous record of 180.3 million acres in 2017.

The Quarterly Grain Stocks report showed a higher inventory of both corn and soybeans compared to a year earlier. The total U.S. corn inventory was over 5.29 billion bushels on June 1, an increase of about 14% from the previous year.
