Uttar Pradesh Silver Prices Skyrocket, Then Plummet in Wild Year-Long Ride
The silver rate in Uttar Pradesh has been on a rollercoaster ride this year. In August, it started at ₹2,55,900 per kilogram (KG) and peaked at ₹2,76,100 before settling at ₹2,75,900 by the 13th. This trend is part of a larger pattern that has seen silver prices fluctuate wildly since January.
In May, silver prices reached an all-time high in Uttar Pradesh at ₹3,31,100, only to fall to ₹2,71,000 by April's end. The highest rate in February was ₹3,71,000, but it eventually settled at ₹3,05,900. This volatility is not unique to Uttar Pradesh, as silver prices have been fluctuating globally.
The market has seen various trends since January, with prices rising in May and falling in subsequent months. Despite this, the overall performance of silver prices in Uttar Pradesh remains rising. The purity of silver is typically expressed in fineness, indicating the percentage of pure silver in an alloy. For example, 999 fineness means 99.9% silver content with minimal impurities.
