Uzbekistan Seeks Stable Oil and Gas Market Amid Growing Demand
Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has reviewed measures to ensure stability in the oil and gas market. The country is facing increased demand for natural gas and petroleum products due to expanding production capacity and growing population needs.
The President emphasized the need to anticipate seasonal demand, prevent unjustified price increases, and maintain a stable supply of hydrocarbon resources to the domestic market.
Uzbekneftegaz JSC is working to maintain stable natural gas production, make effective use of existing fields, and ensure timely commissioning of new wells. In August, 27 wells are scheduled for commissioning, which will enable additional natural gas production of 887 thousand cubic meters at the Yangi Kultak, Niyoz, Koratau, Marvarid, and Tegirmon fields.
President Mirziyoyev instructed officials to establish effective oversight to prevent unjustified restrictions on resource supplies, artificial shortages, and actions aimed at driving up prices. Uzbekneftegaz JSC was tasked with ensuring full compliance with the established oil and gas production targets to maintain the balance between supply and demand in the domestic market.
