Uzbekistan's Mirziyoyev Emphasizes Oil and Gas Market Stability
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan has emphasized the need for stability in the country's oil and gas market, as well as uninterrupted supplies to economic sectors and the population.
The expansion of production capacity and growing needs of the population have increased demand for natural gas and petroleum products. To address this, it is essential to ensure a stable supply of resources to the domestic market, anticipate seasonal demand, and prevent unjustified price increases.
The President reviewed measures to maintain oil and gas production stability, including work by Uzbekneftegaz JSC to make effective use of existing fields and commission new wells. In August, 27 wells are scheduled for commissioning, which will enable additional natural gas production of 887 thousand cubic meters.
