Valley Gas Prices Plummet Amid Crude Oil Optimism
Gas prices in the Valley have fallen due to a drop in crude oil prices and optimism that the Strait of Hormuz will resume normal operations.
According to AAA Arizona, gas prices dropped 7 cents over the past week to settle at $4.42 a gallon.
Aldo Vazquez, spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group, stated, 'Arizonans are still paying about $1.19 more per gallon than they were at this point in 2025.'
However, he noted that gas prices typically start going down this time of year as demand decreases and people settle into their fall routines.
In Gilbert, the median price fell 12 cents a gallon to $4.42.
The cheapest gas was found at the Costco on Arizona Avenue and Baseline Road at $3.99 per gallon.
