Vance Warns Iran, Touts Venezuela Oil Boost Amid CDL Fraud Crackdown
Vice President JD Vance discussed several key issues during a press conference at Joint Base Andrews before departing for Michigan and Nevada. He announced a significant crackdown on commercial driver's license (CDL) fraud, stating that it has undermined American wages in the trucking industry and compromised highway safety.
The administration's anti-fraud task force will focus on combating fraudulent CDLs, which Vance argued have become a major problem. 'Fraudulent licenses have undercut American wages in the trucking industry and threatened highway safety,' he said.
Vance also addressed President Trump's recent AI-generated video regarding Iran, clarifying that it serves as a direct warning to cease attacks on commercial shipping. He emphasized that the administration is committed to protecting international commerce and security.
In addition, Vance touched on rising oil production from Venezuelan reserves to help stabilize global energy markets. He warned tech companies building AI data centers to construct their own power plants to avoid driving up local utility bills.
