Vedanta Oil and Gas Stocks Soar 12% to Record High Amid CRISIL Rating Upgrade
Vedanta Oil and Gas shares surged more than 12% on Monday to hit an all-time high of Rs 39.48, according to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The stock had been in a downtrend after its Q1 earnings were reported last week, despite posting a net profit of Rs 945 crore. However, it has since rebounded sharply, with Monday's rally taking the stock to new heights.
CRISIL upgraded Vedanta Oil and Gas Ltd's long-term rating to AA+/Stable from A+/Watch Developing in July, citing the transfer of Vedanta's oil and gas undertaking to the company as part of the demerger. This reflects a stronger business and financial risk profile for the company.
Vedanta Oil and Gas is one of India's largest private-sector oil and gas producers, operating 44 blocks spanning over 47,000 square kilometers. In fiscal 2026, it produced approximately 87 kilo barrels of oil equivalent per day (kboepd).
