Venezuela Secures $209 Billion Windfall from 25-Year US Energy Deal
Venezuela's interim President Delcy Rodriguez announced a historic energy agreement with the United States that will remain in force for 25 years.
The deal aims to significantly increase Venezuela's oil production, targeting more than 1.5 million barrels of crude per day from 17 strategic oilfields and eight new oil blocks.
Rodriguez described the agreement as a potential turning point for Venezuela's struggling economy, which could generate approximately $209 billion in revenue based on an oil price of $65 per barrel.
