Venezuela's Oil Exports Surge to 1.25 Million Barrels Per Day in May

Venezuela's oil exports have increased for the third consecutive month in May, reaching 1.25 million barrels per day.

This growth is fueled by more cargoes to the United States, India, and Europe, according to shipping data.

The U.S.-supported government of interim President Delcy Rodriguez has seen Venezuelan crude production and exports bounce back this year due to eased sanctions and expanded oil projects.

The oil ministry forecasts a crude output of 1.37 million bpd by the end of the year, which would be a 22% increase from late 2025 levels and the highest since U.S. energy sanctions were imposed in 2019.
