Venture Global Expands LNG Partnership with China Gas
Venture Global Inc., a leading LNG producer in the US, has signed a new sales and purchase agreement with China Gas Holdings Limited to supply 0.5 million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from its Louisiana facilities.
The 20-year deal will begin in 2030 and marks an expansion of the existing partnership between the two companies, which already has a total long-term offtake of 2.5 million tonnes per annum under 20-year agreements.
According to Venture Global's CEO Mike Sabel, the agreement will supply China with 'reliable, low-cost American LNG' from across its Louisiana projects.
