Venture Global Revenue Jumps 48 Percent on Higher LNG Sales
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer Venture Global Inc reported a significant revenue increase in Q2, reaching $4.58 billion, up 48 percent from the same period last year.
The company attributed the growth to higher LNG sales volumes and prices net of feed gas costs, mainly due to commissioning progress at its Plaquemines project. Net profit soared by 266 percent to $1.35 billion, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 79 percent to $2.49 billion.
Venture Global also announced a 122 percent dividend increase to $0.04 per share. The company's two LNG facilities in Louisiana are operational: the Calcasieu Pass facility began producing LNG in 2022, and the Plaquemines project shipped its first cargo in 2024 but is expected to reach commercial operation by Q4 2026.
The Arlington-based company reaffirmed its target for the Plaquemines Project Phase 1 commercial operations date (COD) in Q4 2026 and the COD of the Plaquemines Expansion Phase 1 in mid-2027. It also plans to file for permits related to the CP2 brownfield expansion project.
