Venture Global Secures 20-Year LNG Deal with China Gas
Venture Global has secured a 20-year deal to supply China Gas with 0.5 million metric tons per annum of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The agreement marks a significant expansion of Venture Global's partnership with China Gas, which is one of the leading natural gas operators in China.
Venture Global has a large industrial footprint along the U.S. Gulf Coast, with its Calcasieu Pass and Plaquemines facilities in Louisiana being two of the largest suppliers of LNG in the United States.
The deal comes as energy markets are under pressure from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, which has prompted a reshuffling of legacy suppliers and importers seeking alternatives outside of Qatar.
