Vietnam Gold Price Plunges Amid Global Market Resilience
The gold price in Vietnam has taken a hit this week, with SJC gold bars selling for between 141-144 million VND/tael. This represents a loss of 4.2 million VND/tael compared to the previous week's closing session.
At DOJI, the gold ring price is down 200,000 VND/tael on the buying side and 1.2 million VND/tael on the selling side, resulting in a loss of 4.2 million VND/tael for buyers who purchased on August 9th.
Despite this dip, world gold prices have shown resilience, closing the weekly trading session at 4,375.6 USD/ounce, a 34.3 USD increase from last week.
The outlook for gold prices next week is positive, with 90% of analysts surveyed predicting an increase in prices. However, the market remains uncertain due to ongoing struggles between expectations of less tight monetary policy and pressure from long-term bond yields.
