The gold price has seen a slight increase in Vietnam, reaching VND 135.5-140.5 million per tael at some business units. This marks an increase of VND 500,000 per tael in both buying and selling directions.

The difference between buying and selling prices is around 5 million VND per tael. Meanwhile, world gold prices have also seen a recovery, rising to the threshold of $4,051.7 per ounce at 6:00 AM. This marks an increase of $4.1 from the previous day.

The upward momentum of gold prices is being curbed by the strong US dollar, which continues to hold in its highest price range in recent times. The trading range of spot gold remains between $4,021.2 and $4,083.1 per ounce, still unable to break out of the resistance zone.

The direction of gold prices is heavily influenced by the macroeconomic picture of the US, with positive economic data overshadowing expectations of monetary policy easing. The latest data shows impressive growth in home sales and a record low number of initial jobless claims.
