Vietnam Gold Prices Dip After Breakthrough Sessions Amid Global Market Uncertainty
On August 10th, gold prices in Vietnam experienced a decline after several breakthrough sessions. According to Phu Quy Gold and Gems Group, SJC gold bar prices were listed at the threshold of 141.1-144.1 million VND/tael (buying - selling), with an increase of 100,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions. The difference between buying and selling is at 3 million VND/tael.
Similarly, DOJI listed SJC gold bar prices at the same threshold as Phu Quy Gold and Gems Group. However, Bao Tin Minh Chau reported a decline in gold prices with the price of gold bars listed at 141-145 million VND/tael (buying - selling), down 500,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.
The global gold market is also experiencing some uncertainty. As investors wait for new signals from US inflation data to assess the course of monetary policy, world gold prices have been under pressure. The rising USD has made gold more expensive for investors holding other currencies, limiting its attractiveness.
