The gold price in Vietnam has shown some fluctuation as of August 14th. The SJC gold bar prices listed by Phu Quy and DOJI were at the threshold of 141.3-144.3 million VND/tael (buying - selling), with no change in buying or selling directions. However, Bao Tin Minh Chau listed a slightly lower price of 141.4-145.4 million VND/tael, down 600,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.

The world gold prices were recorded at around the threshold of $4,363 USD/ounce on August 13th, down 33.7 USD. The decline is attributed to the ongoing assessment of the US Federal Reserve's monetary policy outlook. Despite the producer price index (PPI) not increasing compared to the previous month, core inflation components remained high.

The market continues to focus on US retail sales data as a key indicator for interest rates and gold prices. If consumer purchasing power remains strong, expectations of high interest rates may increase, putting pressure on gold. Conversely, a weaker-than-expected report is likely to support gold price recovery.
