Vietnam Gold Prices Soar with Global Market Rally
Gold prices surged across Vietnam today, August 11th, following global trends. The price of SJC gold bars increased by 600,000 VND/ounce compared to yesterday morning, trading at 144.1 million VND/ounce. For gold rings, some major brands including Bao Tin Manh Hai, Bao Tin Minh Chau, Phu Quy, and Doji Group saw their selling prices increase by 200,000 - 600,000 VND/ounce compared to yesterday morning.
According to experts, domestic gold prices closely follow developments in the global market. World gold prices rose sharply overnight, reaching $4,395 per ounce, a sharp increase of $47 per ounce compared to yesterday's price. This upward momentum is driven by expectations of interest rate cuts and strong demand from central banks.
Despite India's new import controls causing a decline in domestic demand, analysts at Heraeus believe gold prices will continue to rise. Gold prices have risen more than 7% over the past week, breaking out of their stable trading range and closing above $4,300 an ounce.
