Vietnam Gold Prices Surge Amid Global Market Gains
The gold price is experiencing fluctuations in Vietnam as of September 4th. According to recent data, the Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) and PNJ Group reported buying prices for gold bars at 145.4 - 148.4 million VND/ounce and selling prices at 144.9 - 147.9 million VND/ounce, respectively.
The price of SJC gold rings also varied among brands, with Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) offering the lowest buying price at 145.6 million VND/ounce and Phu Quy offering the highest buying price at 145.4 - 148.4 million VND/ounce.
Gold prices globally have surged by 2.2% to near $4,500 per ounce, influenced by softer labor market signals, falling Treasury yields, and a less hawkish stance from US Federal Reserve officials.
The price of gold is expected to continue its recovery after the previous day's gains, with investors awaiting the crucial US jobs report scheduled for release on September 4th. According to Goldman Sachs Research, central bank demand for gold will support prices in the second half of 2026, reaching $4,900 per ounce.
