Vietnam Gold Prices Surge Amid Global Market Rally
The global gold price rose to around $4,642 per ounce at the close of trading on August 24th. In Vietnam, SJC gold bars saw a significant increase in price, with buying and selling prices reaching 147-150 million VND/tael, up 2.4 million VND/tael from the previous day.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed SJC gold bar prices at the threshold of 148.5-152.5 million VND/tael (buying - selling), an increase of 3 million VND/tael in both buying and selling directions. The buying - selling difference is at 4 million VND/tael.
Market analysts suggest that the rise in gold prices is supported by the weakening trend of the US dollar, as well as concerns over inflationary pressure and interest rate adjustments in the near future. However, geopolitical tensions are also being monitored by the market, which may impact demand for gold as a safe haven asset.
