Vietnamese Gold Prices Drop Amid Global Fluctuations
Gold prices in Vietnam have adjusted downward today (August 5th) due to a decrease in selling price by 500,000 VND/ounce. The domestic gold bar prices were revised downwards by various brands, with SJC, Bao Tin Manh Hai, DOJI, PNJ, and Phu Quy listing their gold bars at 137.5 - 140.5 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price). This adjustment maintains stable buying prices but decreases the selling prices compared to yesterday morning.
The domestic gold ring prices have also fluctuated today, with some brands showing increases and others decreases. SJC traded gold rings at 136.5 - 140 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price), maintaining the buying price and decreasing the selling price by 500,000 VND/ounce. PNJ listed the price of gold rings at 136.2 - 140.2 million VND/ounce (buying price - selling price), an increase of 100,000 VND/ounce for the buying price and a decrease of 700,000 VND/ounce for the selling price.
The world gold price was listed at $4,076 per ounce today, an increase of $42 per ounce compared to yesterday morning. Experts believe that the global gold market will continue to fluctuate in the short term due to a weakening US dollar and sharply falling oil prices. The fact that the price of precious metals rose above $4,100 per ounce but quickly fell back below that level suggests that buying pressure at high prices is not yet sustainable.
