Gold prices in Vietnam have been falling due to domestic market adjustments and fluctuations in world gold prices. According to Laodong.vn, as of August 14th at 9:50 am, Phu Quy listed SJC gold bar prices at 140.3-143.3 million VND/tael, down 1.3 million VND/tael from the previous day in both buying and selling directions.

The difference between buying and selling was around 3 million VND/tael. Similar price drops were seen at DOJI and Bao Tin Minh Chau, which listed gold bar prices at 140.3-143.3 million VND/tael and 140.2-144.2 million VND/tael respectively.

World gold prices have also been under pressure, dropping around 93.6 USD/ounce to the threshold of 4,316.6 USD/ounce. Analysts believe that gold prices may face further volatility as investors continue to monitor US economic data and interest rates.
