Vietnamese Gold Prices Plummet by 1.2 Million VND/Tael Overnight
Gold prices in Vietnam have taken a sharp downturn, dropping by at least 1.2 million VND/tael compared to yesterday's closing session. According to Laodong.vn, the price of plain round gold rings and domestic gold bars has decreased, with SJC gold bar prices listed between 142.4-145.4 million VND/tael (buying - selling). The current price threshold for Bao Tin Minh Chau is also at 142.4-145.4 million VND/tael (buying - selling), down another 1.2 million VND/tael.
At gold trading stores on Cau Giay street in Hanoi, the number of customers transacting is relatively stable, with a steady flow of buyers and sellers. The quantity of plain round gold rings sold this morning is unlimited, allowing customers to buy and sell according to their actual needs. As of 10:35 am, the number of people coming to sell at a store reached 52.
Some individuals are taking advantage of the low gold prices to accumulate or purchase more gold. Ms. Nguyen Trang, for example, came to buy about 2 taels of plain round gold rings to accumulate, citing that 'the price is low, so I came to buy'.
