Vietnamese Gold Prices Rise as Global Prices Fall Amid US Jobs Report

The gold market in Vietnam continued to show divergence between domestic and international markets on September 5th, 2026. Domestic prices increased by 200,000 VND/ounce compared to the previous day, while global prices fell by $42 per ounce, a decrease of about 0.94%. The price of SJC gold bars in Ho Chi Minh City reached 145.6 million VND/ounce for buying and 148.6 million VND/ounce for selling.

DOJI rings surpassed 150 million VND/ounce after their prices increased by 1 million VND, reaching 150.5 million VND/ounce. This is a sharp increase in price compared to the previous day, making DOJI one of the brands with the most outstanding increases on September 5th.

PNJ also saw a slight increase in prices across most product lines, with plain 999.9 gold rings selling for 148.5 million VND/ounce. The current buy-sell spread for PNJ rings is approximately 3.4 million VND per tael.
