Vietnamese Gold Prices Soar as World Markets Rise
Gold prices in Vietnam are expected to rise on August 10th, following a similar trend in world gold markets. According to experts, domestic gold prices closely follow global price movements, resulting in 'pressure' over the past weekend.
As of 6:30 AM on August 10th, SJC gold bars were trading at around 144 million VND per tael, with a buy-sell spread of 3 million VND. Gold rings from various major brands also maintained their selling prices, ranging from 141-146 million VND/ounce.
World gold prices rose slightly at the start of the week, trading at around $4,348 per ounce, an increase of $8 per ounce compared to last weekend's closing price. Analysts predict that US inflation data and retail sales figures will have a significant impact on gold prices this week.
