Vietnamese Gold Prices Surge Amid Rising Global Markets
Gold prices in Vietnam continued their upward trend on August 13th, following global trends. The price of SJC gold bars increased by 500,000 VND/ounce compared to yesterday afternoon, trading at 143.8 - 144.3 million VND/ounce. Several major brands, including Bao Tin Manh Hai and Bao Tin Minh Chau, maintained stable selling prices throughout the day.
Phu Quy gold rings continued their upward trend, increasing by 500,000 VND/ounce compared to yesterday afternoon, reaching a selling price of 144.3 million VND/ounce. Experts believe that domestic gold prices will continue to follow the trend of the world market, although the increase will be somewhat limited.
World gold prices rose above $4,400 per ounce, with the spot price trading around $4,370 per ounce at 6:30 AM on August 13th. The potential for further gold price increases has been realized, thanks to a CPI report that was entirely in line with economists' predictions.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.1% in July compared to the previous month, while the core CPI increased 0.2%. This is the necessary impetus for gold to continue its upward trend. Gold futures rose $41.20, or 0.93%, in today's trading session.
