Vietnam's Gold Prices Soar as Global Market Rises on Weak US Jobs Report
The price of gold in Vietnam surged on August 9th, with SJC gold bars reaching 144 million VND/ounce, an increase of 1.8 million VND/ounce from the previous day.
This rise is consistent across various gold dealers in Vietnam, including BTMC and PNJ, which also increased their prices by 1.8 million VND/ounce.
The global gold price remains steady at around $4,342 per ounce after a strong week of gains driven by disappointing US employment data and weakening expectations of a Fed interest rate hike.
