Vietnam's PV GAS Vung Tau Terminal Celebrates 25 Years of Safe and Efficient Operation
The PV GAS Vung Tau terminal in Vietnam has marked its 25th anniversary of operation. Established in November 2000, it started as a pressurized LPG storage facility and over the years expanded to accommodate refrigerated LPG storage and LNG operations.
Since its inception, the terminal has achieved significant milestones. In March 2010, the Go Dau LPG storage facility came into operation, adding to the capacity for receiving, storing, and supplying LPG to the market.
The terminal received its first imported LNG vessel on July 10, 2023, marking a significant step in expanding capacity into the liquefied natural gas sector.
Over the past 25 years, the terminal has handled 30.3 million tons of cargo and achieved 219,000 hours of safe operation, serving 20,615 vessel loading and unloading operations, as well as 398,250 tanker truck loading and unloading operations.
The workforce at the port and warehouse has accumulated experience, mastering various technologies, equipment, and methods of product import and export.
