Volatile Gold Prices Drive Demand for Small Digital Investments
Gold prices have been volatile lately, making it challenging for retail investors to decide when to buy. To mitigate this risk, many people are turning to small and regular digital gold purchases instead of investing a large amount at once.
The current price of 24-karat gold is around Rs 1.43 lakh per 10 grams in the domestic market, which is nearly 20 percent below the retail record high of about Rs 1.78 lakh reached on January 29, 2026.
Experts predict that central banks will continue to buy gold and global uncertainty will remain high, supporting the price in the medium term.
Paytm Gold has seen an increase in small investments due to its flexibility and security features, allowing customers to purchase digital gold at live market prices starting from Rs 51 and convert their holdings into certified physical gold for doorstep delivery across over 12,000 pin codes.
