Volatility in US-Iran Talks Sends Gold and Silver Prices Soaring
The US-Iran negotiations have hit a roadblock due to President Trump's demand for historical conflict compensation from Tehran. This development has led to massive volatility in precious metals, causing investors to seek safe-haven assets like gold and silver.
As a result, global oil prices have spiked, fueling fresh inflation fears. In Pakistan, local Sarafa markets are adjusting prices to absorb these macroeconomic hits, leading to a sharp increase in gold and silver rates.
The international spot gold price is currently at $4,412.44 per troy ounce, while the spot silver price is at $67.527 per troy ounce. In Pakistan, the 24K gold rate is Rs. 459,068 per tola, with a 10-gram rate of Rs. 393,583.7 and a 1-gram rate of Rs. 39,358.37.
